Machined in one piece, the metal earphone housing make the E10 tough enough to withstand the rigours of everyday use. The SoundMagic E11C are more grown-up, with subtler colours and a large matt segment in place of a glossy one. This pairing has better control, more body and a smoother treble on higher resolution tracks making it a more enjoyable listen.

SoundMagic E11C vs E80C: which are the best budget earbuds? SoundMagic E11C vs E80C: which are the best budget earbuds?

Richer Sounds Ltd (Registered company address: Richer House, Gallery Court, Hankey Place, London, SE1 4BB. I prefer the soundmagic e10 because e11 sounds with bloat midbass and I prefer tight subbass, yes it has too much body but lacks threedimensionality, and I hear much noise or hiss. On their own, you won’t find much to complain about with the SoundMagic E80Cs – they’re perfectly enjoyable to listen to thanks the upfront, easygoing manner in which they deliver music. The controls provide volume and stop/start functionality which is great for when you are on the move. The Fidue A65 are another great budget choice if you want something that sits in the middle ground, with slightly tamer bass. Optional-sized rubber surrounds for a perfect fit - though, sometimes I hope they would fall out just to demonstrate those cool wires that stop me losing them. The strong bassline driving the funky beat in The Cat Empire’s Fishies sounds playful through the Sennheisers – it bounces and twangs and is full of life.

I can really recommend the Soundmagic E10 if one's looking for a natural, dynamic, non-fatiguing sound signature. In the little carry case you’ll find a mini-adapter cable designed to let you plug the earphones into laptops with separate earphone/mic sockets, and an adaptor plug for phones that don’t get on with some earphones remotes. Nope, it doesn't, most earphones will have noise isolation based on their in-ear fit and the E11C has a pretty good comfortable ergonomic design.

The latter, on the other hand, is a bit more dynamic, due to its very low resistance of 16 Ohms compared to the heavier 42 Ohms of E11C. As was the case with the E10s and E10Ss before them, you won’t mind splashing out a couple of twenty notes for their angled metal 3.

Tip - take the time to fit the correct sized ear piece (there are plenty of sizes included with the headphones! The colourful signature won’t please anyone looking for a neutral listen, but voices still have great texture and depth. Delivering deep rolling bass balanced with superb musical detail, the E10 creates an exciting and fun listening experience. The sound quality is lively, with clear and balanced vocal, while maintaining decent instrumental separation without much distortion or sounding muffled. If you’re someone who prefers to listen to music while working, then a closed-back wireless headphone would be your best pick. With E11C, SoundMAGIC succeeded to improve over E10C in almost every aspect, and that alone is not a small feat, given how good E10C is. The universal remote not only makes things easier for you, the extra buttons giving you volume controls as well as pause and skip tracks, but without a switch, the design is more streamlined than ever. Founded in 2005, a relative flash in the pan compared to many audio companies, SoundMagic has risen from obscurity to boasting multiple award winners, most notably with its budget in-ear headphone range.

Machined in one piece, the metal earphone body makes the E10 robust and ready for the rigours of everyday life, whatever you throw at them. As has become the norm, the remote is light and unobtrusive, so you shouldn’t suffer from unwanted cable noise.Do you recomend another earphones with leas body, with instrumental sounds small but with better space and imaging? The E11C features a 10mm dynamic driver that reproduces a detailed sound along with a warm, textured bass.
